Engagement Cue

An element in a survey (animation, sound effect) used to recapture attention.

An engagement cue is a brief animation, sound, or character gesture intended to recapture attention. With young children, subtle cues prevent fatigue without turning items into games.

We avoid celebratory feedback that might imply correctness and introduce bias. Cues are timed between items and standardized across sessions.
