IRB (Institutional Review Board)

Institutional board that reviews human-subjects research for ethics and compliance (consent, assent, privacy).

The IRB oversees the ethics of studies involving human participants. For child surveys, IRBs review parental consent, child assent, data handling under FERPA/HIPAA, and risk/benefit.

We provide templates and guidance on our homepage to streamline review.
